A laser treatment session usually doesn’t take very long at all. Depending on the age & size of the tattoo, complexity, and color(s), you can expect this fading process to take multiple sessions.

Keeping in mind that the depth, ink color, and amount of ink as well as the location of the tattoo are all determining factors in how quickly we will be able to get your tattoo faded or removed.

Once the ink is broken down by the laser, your body responds by moving fluid to the area to help flush away the ink using your natural immune system. This immune response will be obvious in the form of some swelling and redness in the area! Over the next few weeks the ink will be flushed away as your body moves the broken down particles through your immune system. This doesn’t happen overnight which is why tattoo removal takes a number of sessions! You will leave your session with a light layer of cooling cream and a breathable bandage over your treated tattoo, as well as an aftercare sheet of the do's and things to avoid.
